TEA AND CAKES!
We had perfect weather for the walk which took us about 6K. I was a sorry I had not put my shorts on because it was really very warm and I still have a bit of a tan left over from Africa. The countryside round here is truly gorgeous and the wild flowers are everywhere. We walked through vineyards and pine clad hillsides. There were 35 of us ladies and gentlemen and three ex-pats who were regularly told to "parle français"!
At the end of our journey we had tea, coffee and cakes, lots of cakes. They are all so friendly and welcoming I am sure we are going to enjoy being members of the club. David chickened out this time but I will do my best to make sure he comes to the next one.
