RAIN

After almost 4 months we have had a good downpour of rain. The plants are rejoicing as you can imagine.

Tomorrow is our 43rd wedding anniversary and we are going with our Lunch Club for a meal not far from here so I will tell you all about the menu when I get back.

Only 9 days to my holiday in Kenya, I am very excited about the prospect of travelling long haul on my own. Lets hope it is worth the effort and the cost, I am sure it will be. And if a lion gets me well.............You've guessed it C'est la vie.

WE HAD SOME RAIN!!

Bit of a wobble by the camera operator but I just had to show you, or let you hear, the rain we had last night at long last. I was even able to dig a small hole for a plant this morning. After taking this film the weather got darker and darker, there was some thunder and lightening and then after the rain had stopped we just had lots of lightening on the top of the hill. It was quite spectacular. We could do with lots more but I suppose it will come eventually and I just hope not too many plants have suffered from the extremely hot and dry summer. Only 10 days to go until the big adventure. Just hoping the French workers dont go on strike again, otherwise I will be walking. C'est la vie.
