As I mentioned earlier we had had some fantastic weather all week, warm, sunny and no wind but on Sunday it was cold, damp and windy. What a shame because everybody makes such an effort for the annual carnival.
The weather was not the only problem. I had promised our friend Debbie that I would take some photos of her float and half way through the procession the camera decided to die! We changed the batteries several times and nothing. That and the weather put me in a right old mood, or perhaps it was the Pastis mixed with Cognac! Well you had to drink something to keep out the cold. Sods Law though when we got home the camera was working fine! Well at least I got a few snaps to give you an idea of what the Carnival in Bize is like. The village runs a Masked Ball on the day after the Carnival but as it does not start until midnight we two oldies give it a miss.
It has poured down now for two days and although it is dry today the sky is grey, quite unusual to see a grey sky here. Still hopefully the plants will have had a good drink.
